Brittany Mahomes shares sneak peek of ‘epic’ SI Swimsuit photo shoot

Brittany Mahomes is excited for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie debut.

The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared a sneak peek of her rookie photo shoot in a series of posts on her Instagram Story, which featured her modeling a red string bikini and a cowboy hat while on location in Belize.

“It’s @si_swimsuit launch week,” Brittany, 28, wrote, referring to a week-long press tour when the models attend events and parties to promote the brand. “Gonna be EPIC.

“Had such an incredible time with the @si_swimsuit team, still can’t believe I got this opportunity and like really can’t wait for the launch.”

Brittany modeled a pink sparkling bikini in another photo, and hugged MJ Day, the editor in chief of the SI Swimsuit franchise, in a separate video.

The SI Swimsuit 60th anniversary issue, which celebrates beauty, diversity and empowerment, hits newsstands on Tuesday — and features Kate Upton, Leyna Bloom, Martha Stewart, Tyra Banks and Paige Spiranac.

Brittany will make her rookie debut, alongside Olivia Dunne, Xandra Pohl, Berkleigh Wright, Lori Harvey, Achieng Agutu, Jena Sims, Nina Cash, Penny Lane, Sharina Gutierrez and Brittney Nicole.

The former pro soccer player-turned-KC Current co-owner was named an SI Swimsuit rookie in February, when the magazine released the first photos from her beach shoot in Belize.

Brittany — who shares two children with Mahomes, Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 14 mos. — models a fiery red Mugler piece with cutouts in the 60th anniversary issue.

“I’m truly just so humbled and still in disbelief,” Brittany said in an interview with the publication. “As a girl from Tyler, Texas, who only really knew sports, never in a million years did I think I’d be in [the SI Swimsuit Issue]. I’m just so grateful for this opportunity.”

Brittany described herself as “unapologetically always myself in any setting” and encouraged others to love themselves.

“Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself,” she said. “People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters.

“Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.”

SI Swimsuit is celebrating with a number of events in various locations including a party in Hollywood, Fla. at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on May 18 and 19, which will feature models, celebrity guests, live entertainment and VIP experiences.
